The acclaimed Acoustic Singer-Songwriter – Lucy Spraggan, has spoke out of her support for the Dans Helping Hand, saying that:
It was a pleasure to meet Dan – he has left a great amount of strength behind with his family and friends. The charity supports the people needing help the most and is an amazing way to help young families face loss and bereavement of a loved one.
The artist who performed live on X-Factor had a great friendship with Daniel Binney whom the charity Dans Helping Hand was set up in memory of. Daniel, 19, died of cancer on June 19 2015 after being told in April he was too ill to continue with treatment and that nothing more could be done for him. His mum Trish Hall, decided to set up a charity called Dans Helping Hand, which aims to help bereaved families of young adults with the unexpected expenses of funeral costs. Former X-Factor star Lucy, 24, agreed to play a gig on 11th September 2015 after forming a strong bond with the teenager and his family when she visited him in hospital earlier this year.
